Joining Potentia Insight and Partnering with New Clients

As the newest member of the sales team at Potentia Insight, a digital research agency, I have been reflecting on my first few days at the business. What struck me were the comparisons to the onboarding experience with new clients. While one focusses on the internal practices of personal position, and the other represents the business, the core principles are quite aligned.

In my first week, I immersed myself in the company’s culture, values, processes and way of operating. I spent time understanding our capabilities, how we deliver value and what makes us unique. Those who know me know I am rather football-obsessed, and I would liken this process to joining a new team. There is a learning curve, and understanding “the way we are going to play” is paramount to succeeding when taking that to the pitch, so to speak. This again draws from similarities in understanding a client’s business and goals and being able to apply our research expertise to create relevant, impactful solutions.
